Feature Request: Show Credits/Contributions on a Separate Line with Parentheses
Issue:
On the closing cost / cash to close display, Contributions are currently combined into the same figure as other cost line items. When Contributions are large enough, this produces a negative number that customers interpret as an error, even though the math is correct.
Customer Feedback:
A customer reviewed a specific example where her Contribution amount reduced her Cash to Close, and the resulting figure appeared confusing without context. When asked how she'd prefer it displayed, she was direct: show credits on their own separate line, with the figure in parentheses, e.g., Contributions: ($3,600.00), rather than folding it into an existing line as a negative value.
Requested Change:
Break Contributions out into their own standalone line on the display, formatted with parentheses to visually indicate it's a credit, rather than embedding it within another cost line where it can produce a confusing negative total.
Why This Matters:
Per the customer, consumers reviewing their closing costs won't cross-check the underlying math; they'll just see a number that looks wrong. Separating credits onto their own clearly labeled line resolves the visual confusion without altering how the amount is actually calculated. This is a distinct, low-lift front-end display change (separate from the existing request to hide "Borrower Paid" when negative) and would likely reduce support inquiries tied to cash-to-close confusion.
